Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

img2layers is an independently operated online software service that separates user-provided images into editable image layers. For privacy questions or requests, contact support@img2layers.com.

2. Information we collect

• Account information: when you sign in with Google, we may receive your name, email address, profile image, provider identifier, and authentication metadata.
• User content: images you upload, requested layer count, optional separation guidance, and generated layer files.
• Usage and technical data: request timestamps, service events, browser and device information, IP address, diagnostic logs, and security signals.
• Billing information: plan, transaction, subscription, credit balance, and payment status. Payment credentials such as full card numbers are handled by our payment provider and are not stored by img2layers.
• Support communications: messages and files you send when requesting help.

3. How we use information

We process information to provide image separation and downloads, authenticate accounts, manage subscriptions and credits, prevent abuse, troubleshoot failures, communicate about the service, comply with law, and improve reliability. We do not sell your personal information or use your uploaded images to advertise to you.

4. Service providers

We use specialist providers to operate the service. These may include Supabase for authentication and application data, Google for sign-in, fal.ai for image processing, Creem as merchant of record for checkout, subscriptions, tax, and payment support, and hosting, monitoring, email, or security providers. They process information under their own terms and privacy commitments.

5. Image processing and retention

Your uploaded image and optional separation guidance are sent to our image-processing provider to produce the requested output. Do not upload confidential, regulated, or highly sensitive material. Source images, generated files, logs, and cached results may be retained temporarily by img2layers or its providers for delivery, reliability, security, and abuse prevention. Retention may vary by provider and operational need.

Account and billing records may be kept while your account is active and afterward when required for financial, fraud-prevention, dispute, or legal obligations. You may request deletion, but some records must be retained where legally required.

6. Legal bases and international processing

Depending on your location, we process information to perform our contract with you, pursue legitimate interests such as security and service improvement, comply with legal obligations, and act on consent where required. Our providers may process information in countries other than your own, subject to applicable safeguards.

7. Sharing and disclosure

We disclose information to service providers as needed to operate img2layers, when required by law or valid legal process, to protect users and the service, or as part of a business transfer. We do not disclose your uploaded content publicly unless you choose to publish it elsewhere.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so you are responsible for protecting access to your Google account and for choosing suitable content to upload.

9. Your choices and rights

You may request access, correction, export, restriction, objection, or deletion where applicable. You may also cancel a subscription through the available customer portal. To make a privacy request, email us from the address associated with your account. We may need to verify your identity before completing the request.

10. Children

img2layers is not directed to children under 13, and users must be old enough to enter into a binding agreement in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law.

11. Changes

We may update this policy as the service or legal requirements change. Material changes will be posted here with a revised effective date.
